Whisk together oat milk, extract and honey, if desired, in small saucepan over medium heat about 3 minutes or until bubbles form around edges, whisking occasionally. (Do not boil.) Remove from heat. Pour coffee into large mug. Add oat mixture; stir.
Variation: Use one tablespoon sugar-free vanilla syrup in place of vanilla extract.
Variation: Iced Vanilla Café Oat Lait
In a large mug whisk together oat milk, extract or vanilla syrup and honey, if desired. Add 1/2 cup coffee (cooled) or use cold brew coffee; stir. Add about 3/4 cup ice cubes or coffee ice cubes.
Variation: Blended Iced Vanilla Café Oat Lait
Place oat milk, extract or vanilla syrup, honey, if desired and coffee (cooled or cold brew) in blender. Add about 3/4 cup ice cubes or coffee ice cubes. Blend until smooth.
Note: Make coffee ice cubes by freezing leftover coffee in ice trays. Iced coffee will be less diluted when coffee ice cubes are used.
