Natural Flavor Seems like it's lacking the oatmeal part? Tasted like sweetened oatmeal. Was wondering where the maple flavor is? Can't seem to find any verbiage as to what natural flavoring is, and if that is organic. Date published: 2015-02-11

Fast, tasty and easy breakfast ready in a few mins This is my favorite instant oatmeal that I mix with blueberries and wheat shreds in the morning. It is super easy to prepare, just boil some hot water and it's ready to go after a few minutes.I do have 2 concerns - Is the added sugar filtered through animal bone char? Are the "natural flavors" added vegan?I need to know this, I am now vegan and eliminating all products that contribute to animal suffering. Please let us know, as it doesn't say anything on the box! Taste real good!!!! Love it! I dont understand the bad reviews. I love it the taste is subtle and it's perfect. I hate when it's too sweet and when the flavour is so strong. This product is the right balance of taste.I got it at Walmart and cool thing is the Organic box will cost exactly the same price as the regular box. The ingredients list is pretty short and it reassures me how pure it is.Now I wish I could find it in Walmart Canada. But I dont see it anywhere. Date published: 2017-08-06

WILL Throw OUT We didn't like this at all!!! Quaker Oats Instant ORGANIC oatmeal (maple and brown sugar) was bought by me because the store where I was shopping didn't have the non organic. I didn't like it at all and will be throwing the rest out so I have learned a lesson as this cost me $3.69. I'm not really into organic foods anyway. This taught me a lesson--not to try new foods, once you have found one you like. Date published: 2015-06-16

Gross and Mushy Can't believe I'm reading reviews from 2 years ago saying its mushy and they are still selling this same formula. Turned into a paste with with no oat texture. Very disappointed. I don't understand why just being organic would make it turn to mush. And what is the "natural flavoring"? Could be the artificial, chemical taste other reviewers are talking about. I will be returning it to the store. Date published: 2017-05-20

I love it! Here I am, a sophomore in college who refuses to eat anything other than instant oatmeal for breakfast. I can confidently say that I've tried >80% of Quaker's oatmeal products, and the Organic Maple and Brown Sugar is one of my new favorites. Sure it doesn't have the distinguished maple and brown sugar taste, but it plays on some of the flavors to make the product its own. 10/10 would recommend. Date published: 2016-10-18

Paste-like consistency I don't know what happened to this product, but the last two boxes I have bought have resulted in oatmeal that basically turns into a thick paste after adding the hot water. It's as if the oats just disintegrate in the water! I'm really, really disappointed. I eat oatmeal every morning for breakfast at work and the first box that I bought of the Organic was so great. What happened?!? Date published: 2016-01-25

Not even close This is what my husband had to say "Its crazy. It tastes like paste. has the consistency of mush but stays NUCLEAR hot forever. I hate it". I would also like to add, it tastes NOTHING like maple or brown sugar. And what is "Organic sugar"? It tastes like artificial sweetener which really is upsetting. Is there not Organic maple syrup around? Please take this off the market. Date published: 2017-02-02

It's great I'm not sure why there's bad reviews but I think it tastes great. I actually stopped buying Quaker's non organic oatmeal and their grits because of the partially hydrogenated stuff that's in there so I was very happy when I saw an organic option and I think it tastes very good especially with some cinnamon in there. Not overly sweet either, has just the right amount. Date published: 2015-06-19

Brown Sugar Lumped This is my favorite product and I have it for breakfast every day. However, in the last box of this product I purchased every package had the brown sugar somehow hardened into a solid lump that I had to break up with my hands!I purchased the product at Krogers. Is this caused from the factory or improper handling ast the local reseller? Please advise . . . Tastes fine to me I'm trying to aim for healthy alternatives and as soon as I saw this product at the grocery store I wanted to try it. I make my oatmeal with almond milk. This oatmeal isn't too sweet which I appreciate. Doesn't have a weird after taste either. I would buy it again. Hopefully next time I can catch it on sale because the price is rather expensive. Disappointed - why is it so gummy?!?!? I love Quaker Instant Oatmeal. I have been eating the Maple & Brown Sugar for years. Thought I would try the Organic to be healthier - big mistake. It has the weirdest texture and taste. Not sure why, I would think organic oatmeal would be the same as 'regular' oats. And the taste is not Maple & Brown Sugar either. The whole thing is off. Great for Work I was very excited to see my favorite oatmeal available as organic. It is delicious! It seems as though there is more of a brown sugar flavor and less of a maple flavor than with the non-organic maple and brown sugar, but it is still so good, I love it. I hope Quaker continues to bring out more organic flavors! Date published: 2014-09-19

Disappointed... I was excited to see Quaker offering an Organic Instant Oatmeal option--and Maple Brown Sugar was even better! Unfortunately, I found it to be extremely sweet and not like the Maple Brown Sugar I am used to eating. I am trying to eat less sugar and 12 grams is high. I wish I had gotten the Original flavor. We love it! I will admit that the flavor does not compare to the regular maple and brown sugar, however you have to expect differences when the artificial, over processed ingredients are removed. We totally love this and I hope it comes out in other flavors! Also, a great price point for convenience organic product!! Date published: 2016-02-13

Mushy After eating the High Fiber version this one was a real let down. It was just plain mushy, no texture to it. The taste was kind of bland and not as good as the high fiber version. The reason I chose this one is I was looking for a lower sodium option. Please make a low sodium- low sugar option. Date published: 2015-03-30

I love it!! I'm normally an apples and cinnamon girl, but saw this organic option and decided to try. I love it! I added blue berries to mine and a dash of cinnamon. Very tasty! Thank you for jumping on board with organic options. Will Organic Apples N Cinnamon be an option in the future?!?! Date published: 2015-03-18

Best oatmeal I've had in a long time! I've been switching over to organic products recently and found this instant maple brown sugar oatmeal. It has a smooth creamy consistency and is not overly sweet. This is my new favorite breakfast and I also use it as a "go to" snack! This is the best tasting oatmeal I've tried. Really great taste I love the fact it's organic and was so happy with the taste. It's really good. My only concern is the "natural flavors"in the ingredient list. Natural flavors include a long list of some things good and some things nasty so how can I find out what exactly is the natural flavor? Date published: 2017-03-31

I eat this every morning My typical morning starts with this, I stir in a small box of Craisins and it is great. For my camping kit I still have the regular Maple Brown Sugar because the Water Measure Mark on the pouch. I thought that was a great idea, but when I am at home I always have the Organic. Mush! Mush! Mush! I accidentally purchased a box of this oatmeal. Picked it up instead of my usual Steel Cut variety. I figured, what the heck. Big mistake. The texture is like spackling. Listen to what the other reviewers have said. This stuff is mushy, and not at all appetizing. Date published: 2017-06-06

Something is amiss I bought the Organic Maple & Brown Sugar last night for the first time. I have never ate oatmeal that taste/look/felt like this. It is very mushy and has no taste at all. I managed to eat one packet, with toast, but I'll have to trash the rest...inedible? Date published: 2016-07-19

One of the few Oatmeals I will buy This is by far one of the better oatmeals on the market. It's sweet and isn't runny like the regular Quaker Oatmeal. This one fluffs up much better. I like the maple flavor too. I have this every morning! It's a little more expensive but worth the price. Date published: 2016-06-17

Good but I'm a little disappointed this time I had previously bought this about a year ago and loved it. This time it seems to be lacking the maple. My oatmeal is super light colored and just sweet. A little bummed. Was hoping it would taste like it did the first time I bought it. Date published: 2015-08-26

Good but texture is different There are now so many Quaker Instant Oatmeal choices it makes my head spin. Thirty years ago was into raisins and spice. Now it only comes in variety pack. Currently it is the organic maple and brown sugar with its less sugar and salt. Date published: 2016-09-30
