Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love the lower sugar products I like the idea of the lower sugar and lower carbs. But as others have said, why use Sucralose. Just use less sugar. It didn't taste that sweet to me, but I like sweet, but not the chemical. Lose the sucralose!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slowly Dawning Disappointment in Peaches & Cream Admittedly, I love Quaker Instant Peaches & Cream. I have for a long time. It was deeply satisfying on a cold wintry day to get a taste of warm summer fruit. Or while camping, far from the comforts of easy baking, to get the flavor of home baked peach cobbler and fresh cream, for breakfast. It was always a treat. Sure, it did have a nasty flavor/textural issue, where I would sometimes notice the sugar and cream forming a sticky syrup, which as a kid I called sugar snot. Yep, that is absolutely disgusting, right? What I found I really liked, was the peach flavor with a dairy flavor. Fresh+Creamy. I thought I'd love the Less Sugar variation, because with less sugar, there wouldn't be snot in my bowl. But, no, same problem, plus a chance of migraines (my body does not tolerate sucralose). It is possible corn syrup solids are contributing to the syrup texture as well. May be time to revise your creaming agent. Another reviewer mentioned trying to sift out the sugar from the packet of instant, but really, who can separate the cream from the sugar? Why should I have to take extra time to fix a product purchased for convenience? While staring at my dad's non-dairy creamer the other day, I had an epiphany that I could grab my big round canister of Quaker oats, a box of snack bags, my food dehydrator, a can of peaches in water, and make my own instant oatmeal peaches and cream. A little excitement edged in, because it would be even better when the local orchards had peaches in season! By making them in advance from dry ingredients, I would be back to "Just add water", plus the flavor combo I love. I checked your ingredients list to see if I was on the right track with all this, and received a major shock. You don't use peaches! Whaaaaat?!?!? Apple pieces flavored with artificial peach flavoring?? I understand apples are the sweetener and filler alternative for all kinds of fruit products in the food industry, no surprise there, I've seen it before with cranberry juice. But for some reason I thought Quaker had more integrity than to stoop to this industry trick. Wow. As a consumer, this shatters my trust, and the little kid in me is feeling majorly betrayed that something I loved wasn't even real.So first, I went looking through your product lines for real fruit. I found it, no surprise. With interest in organics, no artificial color or flavors, and short ingredients lists on the rise, a company would be in serious trouble if it didn't respond. What I found wasn't exactly what I was looking for... while Real Medleys has real peaches, Peaches & Almond is not Peaches & Cream. I'll keep a lookout and give it a try, but I'm skeptical: Peaches & Almond has even more sugar than Peaches & Cream, suggesting to my mind that Quaker doesn't believe people prefer the taste of healthy nutrition over insulin shots. I have a favorite recipe for peach pie that includes almond extract, so maybe Real Medleys has a fighting chance. We'll see.I read other reviews for this product, and saw many people, not just myself, wanted a product with less sugar, either because they wanted something to accommodate a diabetic diet or because the flavor is too sweet for our taste (just say no to sugar snot!). "Lower Sugar" hasn't fully addressed the need for LESS SUGAR when it used an artificial sugar substitute. Sucralose is a reduced calorie sweetener, unable to be broken down and absorbed, so for folks like my 92 year old diabetic grandmother, it passes straight through untouched. Like ---immediately--- straight through, and then my poor grandma loses some of the nutrition she sorely needs along with it. And that in turn causes blood sugar spikes. As is, this isn't a product for health-conscious me, nor a product for diet-restricted her.Instead of substituting with a sugar that doesn't count on a technicality, why not reduce the quantity of sugar? Make it fourth on the ingredients list, instead of second? Imagine the glorious ways you can market a product designed by customer feedback. Imagine the surge in sales when all these disgruntled fans get exactly what they've been asking for. Imagine it, make it happen, and keep your fingers away from that Limited Edition button.
