I have began to start eating better for my health (we should always do that but I have neglected to do so for a few years), and when I started looking into what is a healthy breakfast, I kept seeing oatmeal as a great option. Well, I have loaded up on Quaker Oats and I am so glad they have the Raisin, Date and Walnut flavor as the Maple is a little too strong and sweet for me. This oatmeal blend is perfect and one that I will continue to eat on a real regular basis. If you are concerned about your health, be sure to incorporate oatmeal in your diet and having Quaker Instant Oatmeal in your cabinet is an easy way to keep it in your diet. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please don't ever discontinue this flavor! I've tried several flavors of Quaker Instant and this is the only one that is not too sweet. I enjoy its savory goodness every morning--not only am I getting the benefit of oatmeal, but the raisins, dates and walnuts contribute the benefits of fruit and nuts. Lately it's been difficult to find in my area, which is a cause for concern.

I definitely know that it has lowered my cholesterol levels! There is just the right amount of sugar in this product and I always add fresh fruit to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Instant Oatmeal ever! I'm always looking for something quick but healthy in the morning. I found it in Quaker date, raisin and walnut oatmeal. It's not overly sweet like I've found other instant oatmeal's to be. I love the raisins, dates and crunch of walnut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best late night snack I love oatmeal...the Quaker,walnut,raisen,date... is, the best...I do not, buy others...is, a great late night ,snack...I put ,2 teaspoons of real butter,it's the best...I use, the hot water dispenser, on my spring water cooler...so easy...great !!!...I would love to get on, a permanent coupon, list mailer with them, for oatmeal...also,my cholesterol was like 360 ...and ,dangerous...I ate, 4 packs a day, for 4 months...and,it is now, below 200...my doctor ,could not get over this...she kept telling me ,to go back on statins...I tried those for a year,did nothing at all...I told her ,no more satins for me...oatmeal, is the trick... and,oatmeal is way healthier, than a candy bar,and ...just as satisfying, for a ...quick, sweet tooth fix...

This cereal is tasty just as it is without needing to add sugar, butter or anything else! I like it because just the packaging allows just the right amount of milk or water, water is fine by the way, and there's no mess to clean-up. I add the cold water and allow it to sit while I pack my lunch. It seems to make it creamier - this is a fine product and I recommend it to those who want a little breakfast that's hot, tasty and healthy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Why so much Sugar in it? Love the taste but then realized this "healthy" product has nearly 3 teaspoons of sugar per serving. The dates and nuts should be enough flavor. Please make it more healthy Quaker Oats.

Hot Water or Milk Preparation

  3. Let sit for 60 seconds.

Microwave Preparation (1 Serving)

  1. Empty packet into microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Add up to 1/2 cup unheated milk or water; stir.
    For your convenience, you can use the packet measuring cup.
  3. Microwave on HIGH 1 to 2 minutes; stir again.

Caution: Bowl and contents may be hot. Microwave ovens vary in power. Cooking time may need to be adjusted.
