Philanthropist and chef Art Smith knows Quaker Oats are so much more than a great way to start your day. That’s why he's working with the Quaker Go Project to unveil a special oat-inspired "power your potential" menu. He’s incorporating the whole-grain goodness of oats into nourishing and delicious recipes that give people the energy to live life to the fullest as well as the power to do good in their communities. The executive chef and co-owner of Table fifty-two, Art Smith has received the culinary profession's highest awards and has cooked for some of the world's most famous celebrities as personal chef to Oprah Winfrey. Smith is also the author of three award-winning cookbooks: Back to the Table; Kitchen Life: Real Food for Real Families; and Back to the Family. Chef Art Smith's newest restaurant, Art and Soul, opened in the fall of 2008. The restaurant will be located in Washington DC, at The Liaison Capitol Hill, An Affinia Hotel. Smith lives in Chicago with his life partner, renowned artist Jesus Salgueiro, and their three dogs, five cats and fifteen fish.
