Approximately one out of three women are taken from us too early due to heart disease. When something as simple as a conversation may help a woman in your life, it's time to have #HeartTalks. This Heart Health Month, arm yourself with the knowledge you need to talk about heart disease and make heart health a priority for the woman you love.

BEATING TOGETHER

We've partnered with WomenHeart‒The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease‒in an effort to help women everywhere identify and lower their risk. WomenHeart advocates, educates, and supports women living with, or at risk of heart disease, and we’re proud to be an official partner for Heart Health Month 2017.

5 TIPS TOWARD A HEALTHY HEART

EAT SMART

Load up on heart healthy foods like fruits, veggies & whole grains.

WATCH YOUR WEIGHT

Maintain a healthy BMI (Body Mass Index) of between 18.5-24.5

QUIT SMOKING

Smoking increases the risks of high blood pressure, blood clots & strokes

STAY ACTIVE

Try to find time for 30 minutes of moderate exercise every day

KNOW YOUR NUMBERS

Check BMI, cholesterol levels and blood pressure (BP) regularly

See your doctor for annual checkups and complete screenings. In the meantime, track your BP at a higi station located in a retail pharmacy or grocery store near you.
