Rated 3 out of 5 by from I love the idea! Why not just put less sugar? No need for sucralose, it makes it taste salty. I was so excited to switch to lower sugar since everything has so much sugar in it lately, but was so sad to see that the product has sucralose in it! Just put less sugar! It would probably be just as yummy! btw I was happy to see someone else shared my feelings - maybe call this style "diet oatmeal" with artificial sweetener and then put out another style called "less sugar" with just less sugar and we can all be happy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What happened to my regular "lower sugar" oatmeal? I've been buying, & using it for years. Now there is a version with artificial sugar added? I do not like the added artificial sugar, nor the flavor, and consistency of this "new" version! Plus, I can never seem to get the right mix with this, it's either too dry, or too runny! To add insult to injury, all the bags leaked water! Please get your act together, and go back to the old recipe, and fix the bags!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Yuck! I usually buy the regular full sugar product, but I thought the low sugar would be healthier. Apparently I failed to read the label and did not realize there was artificial sweetener in this. I usually do not buy products with artificial sweetener because of the horrible taste. I took one bite of this product and immediately knew that it had artificial sweetener in it. Not sure what I'm going to do with the remaining packets, because I am struggling to get the first pack down.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not great Though it does have less sugar, they've included sucralose (artificial sweetener) to keep a super sweet flavor. Honestly this is more offputting, since when purchasing "lower sugar" I would expect it to not be as sweet... and with the sucralose, it tastes even sweeter than the regular flavored oatmeal.

The product seemed to be more sweet and had an aftertaste (artificial sweetener). I have always paired the Quaker brand with a healthy choice and was very disappointed to find artificial sweetener in the product. I am definitely not comfortable serving it to my children.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Warning Sucralose! Not happy with the artificial sweetener. I read the label and it dose not stand out that sucralose is in it. I agree with the other reviews, just put less sugar in it, please! That what I bought this for, less sugar . . . the regular instant oat meals are too sweet so when I saw this, I was excited. NO! Still too sweet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lower Sugar Maple Brown Sugar is Delicious! I absolutely love eating this each morning during the week. I literally look forward to it. My store runs out half the time (it's the only flavor of Quaker oatmeal that runs out, by the way, so a lot of other people appear to be in love with this). I am considering buying it in bulk on line so I never run out!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I too am disappointed in the artificial sweetener and the after taste. I didn't find the consistency anything at all like the old Maple & Brown Sugar. The package says add 1/2c of water, but it was like a paste so I added more. I won't purchase this product again. Another disappointed is the fact the box only holds 6 packages at 38 grams where the previous held 10 packages at 43 grams each yet there is no price difference.

Hot Water or Milk Preparation

  1. Empty packet into bowl.
  2. Add up to 1/2 cup hot milk or boiling water, stir.
  3. Let sit for 60 seconds.

Microwave Preparation (1 Serving)

  1. Empty packet into microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Add up to 2/3 cup unheated milk or water; stir.
    For your convenience, you can use the packet measuring cup.
  3. Microwave on HIGH 1 to 2 minutes; stir again.

Caution: Bowl and contents may be hot. Microwave ovens vary in power. Cooking time may need to be adjusted.
